Dr. Kelly Campbell

Dr. Kelly Campbell is the proud owner and head veterinarian of Palmer Veterinary Clinic. She acquired Palmer Veterinary Clinic in January 2017 and is thrilled to continue to provide the quality care and services that the Mat-Su Valley deserves. She originates from Tennessee and graduated veterinary school from the University of Tennessee in 2009. Following graduation, she moved to Alaska and has remained here since. Dr. Campbell loves ocean fishing and hiking in her spare time. She currently resides with 3 dogs (Labrador Retriever and 2 Dobermans) and a plethora of cats and fish.

Dr. Campbell’s interests include dentistry and oral health, feline and canine senior care, palliative medicine, oncology, and dermatology.

Dr. Lisa VanPelt

Welcome Dr. VanPelt! We are very excited for Dr. VanPelt to join the Palmer Veterinary Clinic team. Dr. VanPelt joined our team in January 2020 and brings years of veterinary experience. She resided in Idaho until moving to Alaska where she owned her own veterinary clinic and worked as a sole practitioner. A change was needed and she decided to follow her kids to the great state of Alaska for more mountains and adventures. She currently resides in Alaska with her husband and 3 Boston Terriers.

Dr. Rebecca Duden, CHPV

Dr. Duden grew up in Georgia, receiving her Bachelor’s in Animal Science from Berry College. She graduated with her DVM degree from Michigan State University in 2017. She spent the next 5 years serving as a general practitioner in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Certified in hospice and palliative medicine, Dr. Duden has a soft spot for geriatrics and end-of-life care. In her spare time, she enjoys drinking coffee with her husband, playing with her daughter, and napping with her 3 orange cats. She is thrilled to be a part of the Palmer Veterinary Clinic team and to call Alaska her home!

Dr. Shelby Crites, CCRT, CVA

Dr Crites relocated to Palmer in 2023 following eight years in Northern Idaho. She graduated from the Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She was certified in veterinary acupuncture in 2014 and completed her certification in canine rehabilitation in 2022. In addition to her interest in pain management, she enjoys dentistry, geriatric care, and soft tissue surgery. Dr Crites and her husband share their home with two huskies and three basenji mixes. When not in the clinic, she enjoys playing golf, fishing, and collecting plants. Dr Crites looks forward to getting to know and take care of the people and pets of the Mat-Su valley.
