 Dr. Kelly Campbell:

Welcome Dr. Campbell!  Dr. Kelly Campbell joined our team at the  beginning of 2017 and we couldn't be happier to have her on board.    She originates from Tennessee (Go Vols!) and pursued her veterinary degree at the University of Tennessee.  Dr. Campbell graduated from veterinary school in 2009 and made the journey to Alaska in 2009.  She has lived in Alaska for 8 years now.  Dr. Campbell began her career in Alaska at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in Wasilla.  She worked at All Creatures for 6 years before deciding to take some time to do relief work at various clinics in Alaska for the past 2 years.

Dr. Campbell enjoys internal medicine, dermatology, and oncology (cancer) cases.  In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, fishing (especially out in the ocean), and reading.  She lives with 8 critters - 4 dogs (a French Bulldog, Labrador, Doberman, and an adorable lab mix), 3 cats, and a turtle.

 Dr. John Tuomi

Dr. Tuomi was born in Montana in 1952. He went to pre-veterinary school at Montana State and got a zoology degree in 1974.  Then off to veterinary school at Colorado State University where he received his DVM degree in 1978.  His wife, Debbie, moved to Alaska in May of 1978 shortly after graduating.

He took a six month position at Northern Lights Animal Hospital and started doing some large animal work on the side.  When that job ended he went to Sand Lake Animal Hospital until January 1981. He then took over Palmer Veterinary Clinic March 1st of 1981 and has been here ever since - 36 years!

His interest is primarily surgery; torn ACL repair and patellar luxation's are two of the more common surgeries that he performs.  He also has a special interest in cases that require skin grafts to close wounds.
